Deliberately in. Deliberately left out.
A dry shampoo doesn't have to come from an aerosol can. Ours is a powder made from maize and rice starch with bicarbonate of soda, which you work in and brush out. Lemongrass essential oil gives it its fresh scent.
How it's often done
- Aerosol can as the format Many dry shampoos are sold as a spray with propellant.
- Powders absorb sebum Starch, clay or other powders often take on the job of binding excess sebum.
- Further additives depending on the formula Depending on the formulation, alcohol, care ingredients or colour pigments are added.
- Fragrance depending on the formula A fragrance blend declared as “parfum” is often used for a particular scent note.
Why we do it differently
- Powder instead of an aerosol can The dry shampoo is sprinkled on and worked in, with no propellant at all.
- Maize and rice starch as the base Two plant-based starches form the foundation and absorb excess sebum at the roots.
- Bicarbonate of soda and magnesium citrate Added to these are bicarbonate of soda and vegan magnesium citrate without magnesium stearate.
- Scent from lemongrass essential oil The fresh note comes from a single essential oil.
